Scientific name: (Ovis Gmelini musimon)
Thousands of years ago, this animal disappeared from the Pyrenees, but they were reintroduced thirty years ago to the massif of Carlit (located in Northern Catalonia, between Capcir and Alta Cerdanya) from Corsican and Sardinian specimens. They prefer rocky, dry and rugged landscapes. They are in heat during November, their gestation period lasts 5 months and they only give birth to one young.
